Main Street Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Gayle Petty as the new Vice President Regional Director/Relationship Manager for Deposit & Cash Management, serving the Worcester region. In her new role, Gayle will foster new business connections and support cash management relationships for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals as the primary point of contact for Worcester area bank clients, delivering a high level of personalized service.

Along with Gayle’s new position, Main Street Bank will open a commercial banking office in Worcester during early spring this year, which will serve the business banking needs of Worcester-based organizations. This office, where Gayle will be accessible to assist clients, is located at 446 Main Street in downtown Worcester.

Gayle brings over 30 years of experience from her previous role at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center at Tufts University, where she spent the last 20 years as Manager/Core Unit Associate Director. Her responsibilities included scientific and administrative oversight of the clinical lab and analytical core research facility, project management, financial operations, business development, and building client relationships through strategic initiatives for business and research domains. Gayle’s skills and experience will serve her well in working with local businesses and providing financial and strategic support for organizations and individuals.

Gayle holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Clark University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Providence College. She is actively involved in the community, serving on the Community Impact Committee for United Way Central MA and as a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Nutrition, the Society of Research Administrators International, and the American Association for Clinical Chemistry. She also volunteers for Veterans, Inc., and Girls on the Run Worcester County.

Gayle is a longtime resident of Worcester, MA, and enjoys long-distance running, including marathons, downhill skiing, hosting family gatherings, and relaxing on the beach with a good book. She is guided by the inspiring words of Maya Angelou: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
